About a Girl Mise en scene- With in the short film the setting that we are shown are location that can be found in most towns and the locations that have been chosen with for the short film also help to add to the realism to the short. The props of that are used in the film are able to help the viewer to understand the situation of the young girl, mainly the scratch card that we see her mum has and the way that her mum looks while checking it we can get the impression that their financial situation is not the best as the mum is hoping to win so that she can afford more for he children than she already has. The costumes that we see for the young girl in the short film are more or less the same and from this we can get the idea of her families finical situation as she has a limited wardrobe as her mum can not afford a more than a few changes of clothes. What is a single camera production A single camera production is where you will only be using one camera is used during the entire production, this means that there will be more editing involved in the post production so that they are able to keep the continuity the same from the camera’s changing position. This can often be found in comedies, dramas and also in documentaries. What are the differences between single camera and multi camera production The main differences between a single camera production and a multi camera production is that in the multi the main difference is that in single there is only camera that is going to be used for the production and in multi there will be a more than one camera used in the production. Ellipsis editing From the film glossary: the shortening of the plot duration of a film achieved by deliberately omitting intervals or sections of the narrative story or action; an  ellipsis is marked by an  editing  transition (a fade,dissolve, wipe, jump cut, or change of scene) to omit a period or gap of time from the film's narrative.

Cross cutting

Cross -cutting is an editing technique most often used in  films  to establish action occurring at the same time in two different locations. In a  cross - cut , the camera will  cut  away from one action to another action, which can suggest the simultaneity of these two actions but this is not always the case.
